Hi there!

I’m Hannah, a storyboard artist based in the South of England. I love making - whether that’s stories, characters or drawings, I’m most passionate when I get to create worlds out of thin air. I lean towards comedy, drama and fantasy, but I enjoy making anything that gets audiences excited about animation. Extra points if it’s a bit silly.

AJ Astronaut

Part of my MA project.

This storyboard was adapted from Make Some Noise, a comedy-improv show made by Dropout. In the original clip, Zac Oyama and Brennan Lee Mulligan act out a scene to the prompt: “An Astronaut trying to cover up to NASA that they really fucked up.”

I wanted to use this board to enhance the visuals of the dialogue, accenting lines with my shot choices and conveying the spaceship’s slow descent into apple-flavoured chaos.

Blackbird Manor

Part of my MA project.

Blackbird Manor is an original fantasy-drama TV series pitch written by Ben Skeldon. The series follows forest creatures who have been made sentient and equisized by ancient magic. As a result, they have overtaken an abandoned manor house and set up their own medieval society.

This is the opening monologue of the pilot episode which sets the world of the story.

Bridezilla vs. Mecha-Bridezilla

Part of my MA project.

This storyboard was also adapted from Make Some Noise. In the original clip, Lisa Gilroy and Izzy Roland pretend to be Kaiju rampaging through a city, stomping around the studio and making very serious threats about their wedding plans.

For this board, I wanted to push the silliness of this situation to the max, mixing in wedding-themed gags and some classic Godzilla fighting.

Mean Girls: Meet the Plastics

Part of my MA project.

This storyboard is adapted from the Mean Girls musical. The clip follows Janis describing her vision of mean girl Regina to new student Cady.

I developed an original concept for this board based on Cady’s comparison of high school students to animals in the savannah, with Regina’s intimidation and power taking the form of a lion. I wanted to emphasise how Regina feels like a melodramtic supervillain in the musical compared to her movie counterpart.
